Join me on a journey through 1951, as seen through the kaleidoscope of The Festival of Britain.  I will be looking at what various aspects of this iconic event can tell us about contemporary society.  Along the way I will be trying out pieces of short fiction, with the ultimate aim of writing a novel inspired by the festival.  This journey will be both historical and creative.
